Projects With David As Leader/Producer
AtmaSphere David’s first original project (1991 – 2000). Cross-blended music with spoken word, with a spiritual focus. Many Sydney concerts for SIMA and self-funded concerts at various non-club venues. Jazz festivals and percussion events in Melbourne and Sydney. AtmaSphere was the platform for David to begin composing. Featured with Synergy in a special program at Eugene Goossens Hall. Notable collaboration in a concert series with Pulitzer Prize winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa.
David Jones Trio (2000 – 2005) – a solely improvising ensemble. Variety of guests. Gigs, festivals and concerts. Recorded a double CD “Intuition” – improvised live in the studio with an audience of 80, and including audience participation.
